Once again on the Pine Ridge Trail , we entered same at the China Camp trail head which is located on Tassajara rd. 35 miles n/w of Greenfield Ca. .
This area of the state is one of the prettiest wilderness areas I have ever visited in California . This was my 5 th hike here . The trail goes from China Camp to the coast at Big Sur . For more photos of the trail see older postings titled Pine Ridge .
Today I am posting some beautiful color that floods
the canyons and valleys of
this wilderness . The photos start at the Church creek divide , see the above sign .
These photos include an up dated photo of Jack English with Wayne and myself in his kitchen , he cooked for us on his wood burning stove again . Remember Jack is 92 years old ! He still hikes ! Also pictured here are photos of Junipero Serra mountain viewed from the Church Creek Trail , and caves with native American pictographs , and a 110 year old shack . Sorry about not giving directions of the caves as they are on private property . I also included a photo of Bill Sullivan , a lettuce grower and friend of Jack . Bill is an avid hiker and monthly packs some groceries in to Jack we enjoyed his greatly company . I f you have any questions about this post e-mail me joeramirez@charter.net
