Cerro Alto

Thursday afternoon I summited Cerro Alto and I met this healthy Couple at the top  ,

The young man had just proposed marriage to her . Beautiful day , beautiful couple .

I recorded their names , but due to wind noise , I am not sure I have the names

His name is Seth and hers is Brisa or Lisa .

Both are from SLO

Fast hikers and at the bottom of the mountain they left the

trail head via bicycles .

Saturday , I met this seasoned senior hiker on Cerro alto , always good seeing him

He used to always be accompanied by other old guys , however it seems that he

is a lone survivor . You go John !!

Started hike late , 62 degrees , My dog Sierra loves the abundance of water .

I met a dad carrying his back

I finished my hike after sunset via the bridge trail .

Wednesday , 1-4-17 rain on Cero Alto

5 and 1/2  inches of rain fell on Cerro Alto today , I hiked both the Canyon Trail and the Bridge trail and found the canyon trail not passable due to flash flooding . More rain expected on 7, 8 , and 9th -- Sat . Sun and Mon.

Note the Scout trail had flash flooding also . The ground is saturated and you can expect flooding so if you hike in the rain , be careful .

Trail fun again , this time I used a battery powered saw and was given some help by a Cal fire  Crew who were training on the mountain .

Saturday 10-29-16 beautiful weather hike on Cerro Alto . On the canyon trail lots of Lady Bugs and hiking traffic . We encountered  a beautiful young couple enjoying the Lady Bugs , we later met this couple enjoying the views at the summit . My dog Sierra poses with the couple for a photo .

Friday , 10-28-16 Hiking Cerro Alto just after a rain , beautiful vivid colors , fresh air , water puddles on the trail , my dog Sierra enjoying drinking from puddles , baby Miners lettuce , clouds opening up with a promise of sunshine , salamanders on wet trails ,life is great .

Cerro Alto and interesting people I meet daily

Yesterday I met this lovely young lady on Cerro Alto , her name is Erin , and has a brother Andrew 

 My son Luis photographed her soccer photos when she was in school and he coached her brother in cross country running team .  Small world . She is from Santa Maria and the last name I believe is Hocks .?

Beautiful hiking on Cerro Alto , great weather , and great music .

What a treat to be entertained by a beautiful hiker from Santa Maria , 

Jill hiked up and down Cerro Alto mountain while entertaining other hikers . Very special .
